Meet Aileen’s ADU Story:



She embarked on this project with a forward-looking perspective, aiming to create a space intricately tailored to her needs 10-20 years down the road, aligning seamlessly with her retirement plans.

Additionally, she expressed a keen interest in incorporating the potential for renting out the space as part of her future strategy. 

Despite the prolonged journey, an unforeseen delay arose due to the need for additional clearances, attributed to the ADU’s location in a flood zone.

Surprisingly, this setback revealed itself as a blessing in disguise.

The extended timeline allowed for securing necessary approvals and obtaining the ADU grant proved to be serendipitous. The grant funds played a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of the project, turning challenges into opportunities.
